The Grill at Hacienda del Sol, MaRKeT Restaurant Group sweep up Tucson culinary awards
Tucson, Ariz. – The esteemed Grill at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort continues to remain a favorite among Tucsonans, as readers of Tucson Lifestyle elected the restaurant among the Top 5 Best Restaurants for the 2009 Culinary Awards.
The Grill swept six individual Gold awards of the 31 eclectic categories, more than any other restaurant on the Tucson scene. For its rustic elegance, The Grill took the Gold award in Best Romantic Dining, Best Restaurant for Out-of-Town Guests, and Best Restaurant for Special Occasions. The acclaimed restaurant also won Gold awards in Best Grill, Best Sunday Brunch and Best Wine List.
The approachable and innovative cuisine at The Grill is due in part to Executive Chef Ramiro Scavo, who also serves as Corporate Chef for MaRKeT Restaurant Group. Scavo’s appealing dishes also receive praise for their use of both organic and locally grown products.
MaRKeT Restaurant Group also oversees Tucson’s original concepts Zona 78 and Harvest Restaurant.
Zona 78 earned a Gold award for Best Family Dining and Bronze for Best Salads. Harvest accepted a Gold award for Best American and a Silver award for Best New Restaurant.
In total, the Grill’s other accolades included Silver awards for Best Sinful Desserts, Best Longtime Favorite and Best Dining with a View. They also earned Bronze in the Best Alfresco Dining category.
For the summer months, the Grill is making its award-winning cuisine even more approachable through a variety of weekly Happy Hour specials and exclusive 3 small plate course and 4 wine pairing dinners for just $30.00, featuring a different varietal every month.
In conjunction with the famed historic resort, guests can take advantage of Hacienda’s “Lush-ious” package from $99 per person double occupancy and receive a $120 credit per night’s stay at The Grill plus a complimentary bottle of wine. The “Lush-ious” package is available through September 15, 2009.
